dirty socks, tangled headphones, silent whisperer
my miniature
sleeping on the sofa till she tackles and i tickle her
my sister
tries to act embarrassed when i kiss her on the cheek
i’ll be your listener
see, growing up i had no guide
i was full of self-referential, self-involved pride
they lied
‘your teenage years will be the best years of your life!’
(laugh)
but soon i learned that a match
being burned at both ends cannot be
you can’t truant from the world
undeserved
glorified
petrified
so when you ask my worth
its like asking a bud to be a blossom
because youth is like a spring,
overpraised
and remarkable for its biting winds instead of warm breezes
so all i ask is that
you
are prepared for the sudden change in the weather

This one flows really well.
This one flows really well. Do you ever read your poems @facetoface? (aloud I mean)
I noticed you took down the wonderful pics you chose. If you want to be sure something is copyright free it's quite easy - just go to Flckr/Google images or similar and you can set your search for creative commons etc. Some want a credit but again, just a short line at the foot of the poem is fine!
