Island Hideaway 3 - An unexpected Visitor

The Boatman had been for the day, so I was alone, with no prospect of seeing another mortal soul until the Boatman returned the next day. If the signal was strong I might get a text or a phone call, or a message on Facebook or email, but these were rare, I didn't court communication. Any emails I did get mostly related to work, and I had finished work for the day.
I sat on my chair on the beach with a cold beer, watching the waves, watching the quiet, watching the still and silence, watching nothing. This was my world, my domain, my universe. The sun slowly descended and the sky reddened into one of those sunsets you see on postcards.
Apart from the Boatman, who came every morning when the gods would let him (not Sundays) with post, my shopping and a side-order of gossip, the sea around my island was mostly empty, it was not part of a route for any of the thousands of merchant ships and tourist ships that visited the mainland every day.
So I was surprised to see a boat in the distance. 'I wonder where it's going' I thought, placing bets with myself (well I shared genes with my uncle) about where it was heading, what it was carrying, whether it was lost. I could spend hours speculating about such things.
All my bets lost out, as the boat edged nearer and nearer. Despite all logic to the contrary, it was coming towards the island.
I packed away my chair and walked down to the bay, to await the boat. It was a small, private boat, not much bigger than the one the Boatman used, but slightly more modern, with a near-silent engine. Nobody I knew owned a boat like this.
"Terrence," a cry rang out.
"Eddie? I didn't know you owned a boat?"
"Borrowed it. Special occasion. I'm glad you're here to meet me, I need your help."
I climbed on board and followed Eddie into the downstairs cabin. There, lying stretched out on the seats was a body. Not just any body. It was Mo.
