Seduction
She came to me with voice of earthen-brown
I gazed upon her hair. A shroud of gold.
Her soul, they say, survived from days of old,
Such truth I held, betrayed by weary frown.
Around my head she laid an ivy crown.
What’s this? I cried. Oh, lest it shall be told
Revere me not. I long but for to hold
Your sodden beauty in your mossy gown.
We lay, a sultry pair within the cool,
the dark and damp and leaden underworld.
The grinding earth she did my spirit seek,
Till then, full pleasured, left me for a fool.
And in the bowels of beauty I lay curled.
Thus never more of lightness would I speak.

I like your sonnet very much, it has a lovely depth and earthiness to it. Rachel :)
