Dear April 20, 2019 …

Did you a year ago today
think cash would constantly increase,
easing life’s way,
and music, meeting friends would fill
your future happily,
no thought of ill?
Globe-trotting, seeking thrill,
adventure, sun
hopeful that life go on
in endless fun?
… would you have dreamt within the year
the world would all be locked in fear?
– all distancing – no human skill or ploy
could trouble by a virulent virus
easily destroy.
…if so,
would you have valued health
and simple pleasures more than wealth?
and given serious thought to death,
to ‘is there’s living after breath
fail in this body?’, had you heard –
put off awhile much thought about
directing and equipping word?

Hi Rhiannon,
Hi Rhiannon,
I like the idea of writing a letter to April 2019. It goes to prove you can never tell what's around the corner and how life can change in an instant.
Jenny.

Last April does, indeed, seem
Last April does, indeed, seem like a lifetime ago. This works really well, Rhiannon.

Would we reevaluate
Would we reevaluate everything, I'm inclined to think not at all. People just get on with what's in front of them and to hell with the rest !!!
