A HOBBIT OF HABIT

I am a Hobbit of habitual tree trunk habitat. My home is made out of the finest natural barking wood. Hollowed out to perfection as I set my benchmark to the highest of oaks.

Willow be my native language, lots of vowels and twiglet connotations. Many rings of aging surround my solid trunk to remind me to count up the years.

Leaves are my chosen decoration to adorn the uppermost heights of my haven. Algae is a cladding of insulation and protection for purpose.

Roots run deep snaking a safe and permanent anchor to hold steadfast this abode. Soil of the earth provides fodder for the same.  

I sit here quietly and watch the world, outside my hollow haven, go by. The sun bestows it's gracious warmth upon my face each morn. As evening falls I am privileged to bathe in the natural glow of a harvest moon.

Spring allows me the beauty of blossom and bees. New beginning of life surrounds me. 

Summer comes into view enthralling me with many colours of flora and fauna. Butterflies dance before me to their favorite tune of flutterative harmony.

Autumn brings forth harvest hues of browns and golds. My overhead leafy canopy dissipates but I am safe in the knowledge it will return again the following Spring. 

Winter falls of snow to weight my branches, yet so very soft of texture. Icicles become my habitats decoration of frozen kaleidoscope.
