Memories of May in North Pembrokeshire

Spring squill’s blue starlets sparkle the cliff’s stunted turf,
salt in the air as the waves crash below,
sea winds shaking out mental cobwebs,
freshen the face, chafing the cheeks.
And in the nearby Gwaun valley,
symphony of luxuriant foliage,
the smell of Ransoms (wild garlic) stars,
and the bleating of sheep.
[IP: Take a favourite colour, scent, sound and mix them up in a place you cannot go to - and there’s plenty of those at the moment! Happy blending.]
