IVAN THE POET.. EVEN THOUGH HE DID NOT KNOW IT
By Miss Polly
- 819 reads
Another of my 93 year old Dads Covid poems
I often wonder why
When I see birds flying by
From tree to my roof
If that's not enough
They look for food amongst my plants
And sing away with their warbling chants
I wonder why they keep so well
I do wish they could tell
No isolation at any time
Or keeping apart how sublime
They must have the way to be fit
Can you tell your reason a little bit
At a time when we hope and pray
For the end of our dilemma one day
I know I will buy a cockatoo
He will tell me what to do

Nice! It must be satisfying for him to have an outlet.of expression —
"Oh, wise cockatoo,
maybe you do,
know how to trust your Maker!"

how do you write rhyme?
I wonder how do you write rhyme like that Pollyanna I don't get it right. My poetry has hardly rhyme ever, well at least then I have more freedom.
