On Woodland Lake

Surface dreamers
Lost in the moment!
Passing time
White drifters
Those weavers
Of homes,
Nesting in
Quiet reeds
Vague as
Celestial stars,
Seeking natures
Raw material,
Time has no
Consequence
Beneath
White plumage,
Steering their way;
Impassive to my
Thoughts or those
Of leaping frogs,
This Pen adorns
Her world trimmed
With moon flowers
Under soft willows,
That silken ripple
Reflected in water
Tracing burble
Of woodland lake.
