I Want To Watch The Wind Dance

I want to watch the wind dance,
Watch it twirl and swirl and whirl around,
Watch it pitter patter as it plays on either side of a leaf on a branch as it wisps past,
Watch it climb a house in a second like an upside down waterfall,
Watch it ballroom dance with a plastic bag And have such grace, elegance and subtlety.
I want to watch the wind part as it fills a city’s streets,
I want to watch it split in to two train tunnels and then join up again.
I want to see the wind create two whirlpools at the beginning of a slipstream, surfing whatever’s in front of it.
I want to see the wind thrust all of the trash on the side of the road up in the air only to have it try to hang on while falling, left,
As the wind moves through a bunch of leaves turning them in to a flock of birds,
As it whistles through caves rushing through pinholes.
I want to watch the wind turn sand in to mountains and then knock them down again.
I want to see the wind reveal the sun or the moon or the stars of the nights sky.
I want to see the wind stop.
I want to see the wind sleep.
Not a sound.

This is so exciting to read!
This is so exciting to read! How many poems about wind there must be, but you have made it new. Particularly liked
