White Coats

I entered the asylum at quarter past four,
The face of depression had wrapped on my door.
Met with a face who repeated a name,
Over and over waving her cane.
The white coats saw the situation evolve,
Her antics, they needed urgent resolved,
“Throw her in the blue room”, one of them cried,
That was the padded room they had to the side.
Over and over the problem occurred,
Her cries for help were just never heard.
On my forth day of being in that hell
Someone was at my stuff, I could tell.
I tried to catch the culprit in action,
That old lady found in my stuff an attraction.
Anything worth anything I kept on my person,
But the situation, it had started to worsen.
I snapped and confronted the bitch when I caught her,
With her mouth full of chocolate, her teeth in some water
Beside her bed next to the white coats station.
“This is my shit your messing with,” I snapped in frustration.
I yelled “put it back and turn around,
Not you fool! The chocolate you found!”
The whitecoats rushed over, hearing the commotion,
And found me shook up, and full of emotion,
“To the blue room they cried,” addressing the lady,
Bells in my head made me think this was shady.
“This isn’t right you should pay more attention!”
I screamed at the white coats but just created tension,
“You’ll be next” the white coat pointed,
The whole system proven to be disjointed!
That afternoon I got a visit from my mom.
I told her about all the goings on.
She smiled and took my hand in hers,
A bed is available in the private sector, and it’s yours,
I cried with relief; this news sent from heaven!
One hour later free from that whole situation.
