Mouth Rape and Alien Fashion Choices 2

It was only about twenty minutes between the last Alien message I had sent to the group, and the next:

                                   What kind of asshole majors in

                                   xenomorphology anyway? Do

                                   you know how hard it is to get a

                                   job in that field? I think they just

                                   make up theories, which are

                                   really only loose hypotheses.

                                   Okay, sure... they looked at one

                                   colony of xenomorphs, but they

                                   evolve quickly, and under

                                   different conditions they might

                                   evolve quite differently. Sure,

                                   when they are using humans to

                                   reproduce they might prefer #6,

                                   but as we saw in Alien 3, when

                                   they use a dog, we get a different

                                   kind of alien. Currently there are

                                   only humans on Earth, and we

                                   don’t know what other life forms

                                   they are using for incubation on

                                   other planets. I think we need a

                                   lot more research before we have

                                   a definitive answer to this

question.

(Yes, I noticed later that I should have stated that humans were the dominant species on Earth instead of claiming there were only creatures on Earth.)

 

Going to the dentist is very invasive. Our mouths are a personal place and we don’t often like to share it with people other than lovers. I don’t even let friends or family members poke around in my mouth. So, dentists are already in a very personal area, then they just violate that area, mistreat it, and cause damage. Look, I know they are a necessary evil and dentists usually don’t get any respect and can be feared and hated. Dentists are to doctors what police are to public servants. They often don’t get the credit that they deserve because they hurt people, even though it’s often necessary. With that said, I hate going to dentists and have been referring to it as mouth rape for at least two decades now. That can cause people who are very politically correct and like to fix everyone’s word usage to get upset with me. I don’t care much for those types anyhow and avoid them whenever possible.

 

Years ago, shortly after the Internet first rolled around, I used to like to go into chat rooms a lot and drunkenly type away at strangers. I had some really good conversations during that time, some really bad conversations, and some very strange ones. When I first started using the Internet, I connected with AOL, in the old dial-up days. Do you remember that? Those weird sounds emitting from the computer as it attempted to access the Internet through your phone line and the wonderfully slow speed at which it happened? In those days, and possibly still (I don’t know), AOL was quite popular and hosted a huge variety of different chat rooms. You could talk to people about almost anything. If a particular movie was trending, they could have multiple chat rooms about it. You could discuss music, and not just music, but specific genres of music had a variety of chat rooms dedicated to them. There were different science and hobby groups and you could always just create your own topic for a chat group as well.

 

I had a particular “chat” with a woman at some point in the late 90’s that I will never forget. Amidst today’s overly PC cancel culture it’s incredibly easy to find someone to get offended when you open your mouth, or even appear in public shrouded in silence. Today it seems that half of the population will get offended if they don’t like the particular way that you breathe, but things weren’t always that way. There were always certain people that loved to get offended instead of communicate, but it seems they have multiplied exorbitantly as of late. I wouldn’t even bother talking in a virtual room with strangers today, but two decades ago I enjoyed it.

 

I have no idea what type of group I was chatting in or even the exact year, but I do remember that I used my term, “mouth rape” to describe a recent trip to the dentist that I had experienced. This woman immediately got offended at my terminology. She said that it was very offensive to say such a thing and people who had never been raped could never understand the trauma that is experienced. Well, I was a bit taken aback, and I did apologize. She claimed that she had been raped. Then, she told me her story. She had been seeing some guy that kept trying to get her to have sex with him. She didn’t really want to, but eventually acquiesced to his constant persuasion. After she slept with him, he never returned her calls again. Then she basically stopped typing, as though waiting for a reaction.

 

“Uh...so then what happened?” I had asked, as I hadn’t heard the rape part yet.

 

Well, that was it. That was how she was raped. If she had been a nicer person, she might have evoked some sympathy from me. She wasn’t, so she didn’t. I could actually understand why a person, any person, would choose to cease communicating with her.

 

She was quite irate when I said that a trip to the dentist was more akin to rape, than sleeping around.

 

All that shit is par for the course these days. Sexual assault is accidentally bumping into someone, unless you are very attractive (or female). Sexual harassment can be had in a smile or a look, or a complete fucking guess into what someone may be thinking. I imagine today she tells the tale of the man who raped her online over two decades ago because of his metaphor for a dental visit.

 

Don’t get pissy for the wrong reasons, please. Rape is bad. Sexual assault is bad. Sexual harassment is bad. The real, original definitions of those things are bad and one shouldn’t do them. Changing the meaning of those words or phrases and then making accusations for other reasons isn’t the same thing as actually doing those things. I’m of the opinion that I really shouldn’t have to have this paragraph in this, but I’m putting it here anyway, to destroy the flow, and let uptight people know that I am not condoning rape.

 

                                   Another thing worthy of

                                   consideration is the life span of

                                   the xenomorph. How long do

                                   they live? We have seen rebellious

                                   behaviors in carbon-based

                                   lifeforms during adolescence.

                                   So, it’s possible that older

                                   juveniles will deliberately wear the

                                   hat in a fashion different to the

                                   fully mature adults, perhaps to

                                   signify their youth and lack of

                                   conformity. We see this behavior

                                   in humans and other mammals.

                                   Right? Did the xenomorphologists

                                   look at fully matured adults in

                                   their observations? We don’t

                                   know, as their report clearly does

                                   not state the age of the creatures

                                   being observed. Even if they are

                                   physically mature, are they

                                   mentally mature? In the first film

                                   we see that they physically grow

                                   quickly, but that doesn’t mean

                                   they are mentally and emotionally

                                   mature. Some humans, yours

                                   truly included, don’t mature at the

                                   same rate as others, as you can

                                   see by these messages.
