A stream lays down

in the valley

its echoing sounds

calling out to another

on the other side

of Prospector Ridge

where cousins

in the woods shift

their weight 

on similar trails

hooves and claws

clicking in unison

and each side of the

outcropping is a mirror

of activity and living.
