Tired of godlessness and spite,
longing for the place of light,
fellowship, and words of God:
foretaste of the home ahead.

Place of strength and unity,
place of peace and purity,
place of love, forgiveness, grace:
pointing to that heavenly place.

For its safety pray, its peace
(all divisiveness to cease);
worship and prosperity,

Last Sunday was Pentecost Sunday, regarded as the birthday of Christ Jesus’ church (‘church’ referring to the gathered people of God, not the building)

Lovely words I like especially the second stanza. I haven't been to church for a long while I miss it must say. Nothing else quite like it. Usually I sneaked out when the minister was praying for a smoke break. Well not that problem anymore at least! Enough money now for collection too!

Our president Cyril Rhamaposa is speaking just now probably to do with the third wave and tighter  restrictions again. We are lagging on the innoculations as well.

Sorry to be slow replying. I take it you mean nothing drastic from the president's message re covid. I hope, and pray your country and all the world may be spared too much further trouble. It has been a sobering time of crisis, a new experience to us who haven't suffered war problems in our countries.

I hope you find a good and helpful church with Christian fellowship and helpful Bible ministry. Christians are not perfect but can support each other in the pilgrimmage if they truly know and love the Saviour.

Yes our president spoke last night regarding Covid. We have a lot of trouble here apart even of the pandemic.

Yes and as Christians we should be always tolerant, not to judge, with your measure you will be measured. We don't really celebrate Pentecost here. Must say, for me to stop smoking that already is a miracle.

Lovely hymn as always. During covid I went to on line services, but now am back in church, and it does feel like a place of healing and peace.

Thanks, Jean. Although it is not the building in itself, the encouragement of seeing and fellowshipping with other believers is what we are told to do as possible, and we can encourage them by our pigrimmage too. Rhiannon
