Full frontal contact with the earth,
level with the daisies in the grass,
sunning myself on a towel,
working up a sweat without moving.
The daisies are cool to the touch,
up close, the grass is a jungle,
wandering insects tickle my skin,
down here I am part of the landscape.

Love this poem, I used to

Love this poem, I used to feel exactly the same when I was younger. Especially like that last stanza, brought to mind my early days of feeling at one with nature while sunbathing.
Thank you for sharing and bringing my own memories back.
Jenny.
