Coming Home

In that second through crowds,
just like experiencing calm ocean
of dazzling aqua marine;
melted hearts of awareness hover,
transfixed shining smiles hinting
of days to come;
knowing that first flush that dwells, showing
both warmth and a magical spell of dusty light
devouring times lasting. Both communicating
with responsive eyes that trigger trenchant
minds ready in snug trance,
quintessential symbol...a token of their love,
delicate emotions of pillow refuge and wrinkled
duvets...doubtless of sleep. Desired words that
fly the pathway to their future, where vows
neatly trimmed, specific of devotion whispered
into those twilight years.
When romance has put its vibrant passions to bed,
reminiscing still lingers; a familiar deeper friendship
strolls across threshold, new blossoming families
swept along on their own journey; where coming home
there's a solace that holds all dreams of understanding.

"..there's a solace that holds all dreams of understanding." Another super ending to a magical spell of dusty light of a poem!

I like that you seem to be
I like that you seem to be showing that 'coming home' is returning to your loved one(s) and recontacting/reconnencting with eye communication, not just the return to a family house! Rhiannon

I also loved that coming home last part. It anchors everything that went before.

Another good one
Great one, Jenny. Another well-written piece of thought. I liked the familiarity part of it. Uh...how can I explain? It's not copying and pasting appropriately. "When romance has put its vibrant passion to bed..." part was great, like after the honeymoon stage of a relationship, where maybe lust and the "newness" of a relationship is gone, but there is still a strong connection. That's what I took from that. Good stuff.
