Autumn Leaves

Slowly, at first,
they begin
their descent;
twisting, twirling,
they engage
in a dance.
Then whipped
by the force
the wind exerts
lie on the ground
exhausted, inert,
all energy spent.

I love...love this poem Luigi
I love...love this poem Luigi, probably one of my favourites of yours.
Dancing leaves are so inspiring.
Many thanks for sharing. Definitely one I'll come back to reading.
Put a big smile on my face.

And yet
...they stir, in whisper of breeze to whirl once more before hoar and rime of frost holds them fast to each other, and the Earth.
Lovely autumnal passion Luigi
Best as ever

Not at all Luigi
Your piece captures movement, passion, a moment, my thought merely a reflection on their dance and your vision
best as ever

Nice description of the
Nice description of the falling, Luigi. When the air is cool and drying, they seem to revive on the ground to crackle under foot, to the pleasure of children (and adults!) too. Rhiannon

Hello Luigi - well our
Hello Luigi - well our intrepid team of investigators have been on the case, and we can't find the copyright details, but we have found, as you said, that it's been used multiple times all over the world. We also found that it won a prize in 2016:

Under the circumstances, I'm afraid I'm going to take it down and replace it with the picture I used on social media. Thank you for all the searching you did before using it

Lovely words Luigi. Upon
Lovely words Luigi. Upon reflection they remind me of the time I spend in my own garden during the course of a year. After the frenzy of activity in the spring, gradually slowing down during the heat of the summer I find myself now with little to do, which is just as well because I am exhausted.
