No More

Gunshots rang out but we don’t know how many
We’re aching for answers but it seems there aren’t any
Their beautiful smiles have been taken away
Such delicate souls, completely erased.
Say their names often and remember their lives.
Their love lasts forever seen now through Our eyes
Our cherished memories, Our photographs
Our snuggly cuddles, Our belly laughs
Our grief still lingers and reminds us each day
To cherish our loved ones before they're taken away
We pray they're at peace and with family and friends
While he’ll rest in a hell that we hope never ends
There’s no rhyme or reason for why they’re not here
Our lives continue, now glazed with tears
Their legacy will be seen in changes we make
In their loving memory, no matter how long it takes.
No more families left with questions why
No more loved ones forced to cry
Our fight for their justice has now begun
We need to challenge the laws on guns

A poignant poem with such a strong message.
Peace and love is all I wish for. Just don't understand the need for violence...no matter what.
Your words resonant express the deep sorrow for lost loved ones, as would mine.
Jenny.
