Useful pun of 'dead pretty' -
Useful pun of 'dead pretty' - I suppose they gradually die, but the decoration, though fun is 'dead'!.
and in life, the sunshine on the dew, and the snow and frost at times, can be something quite special.
We do have plastic ones I'm afraid, but certainly not 'single-use' plasitic as seem to have done so many years' service, and have accumulated ( 4 small ones at present) - we had a white paper one for a few years, but the paper yellowed in the end.

Our only conifer is a fir
Our only conifer is a fir tree at the far end of the wild bit of our garden. It's been there for four years now and it looks beautiful. We bought it from a market stall round about this time of year. It looked very sad so we bought it to give it a happy home. We see it as a rescue tree. It hasn't grown very much but I think that might have something to do with the hot summers and the wrong soil, but at least it's still alive. For us a tree is like a puppy ... not just for Christmas.

You're exactly right Di.
You're exactly right Di. Happiness abounds in our little Malki Chiflik home.
To add to this we got another cat today. We found him all alone in the street in town, shivering in the icy rain. The vet said he's about three months old. We've called him Osem (Осем is the Bulgarian word for eight). And suddenly typing became just a little bit more difficult.
Bulgaria has vast areas of deciduous forest but conifers are fairly rare. We do get a lot of snow but our summers are incredibly hot so perhaps that's the reason why.

Aha, what a brilliant idea!
Aha, what a brilliant idea! And the sooner I start the fewer verses I will need to write.
Perhaps I could even write a musical about them and call it Cats ... or perhaps not!
You have set the cogs in my head whirring. Thank you.
