Merry Christmas Everybody! (Christmases Past and Present) by Mr A.N.Muggins

Slade came on the car radio as the channel played a soothing range of Christmas hits, playing their most famous Christmas hit from 1973, ‘Merry Christmas Everybody’! Instantly the Christmas spirit, which had been idly and pleasantly bubbling away on the backburner, in a corner of his mind, came surging back to the forefront of his brain. It was quite electrifying and quite invigorating.
Immediately he responded by turning the volume up, and a wave of emotion washed over him! How many Christmases had he spent listening to this one (and many others too)? Suddenly it brought all the past Christmases back to his mind. He was getting older, that was sure and so was Mrs Muggins, and everyone else he knew! Even the grandkids were starting to get older!

It's good to read about Mr and Mrs Muggins rocking out to the old Christmas classics. I trust you all had a good time and await more adventures through history next year. Happy New Year to you, David. Paul

You just can't beat Slade's
You just can't beat Slade's Christmas spirit. Every time I hear that record I'm back in the Grannery night club in Bristol on Christmas Eve rocking away with everyone else, waving and singing at the top of my voice. Ah! Sweet memories.
Thanks for the memory. And Happy New Year.
Jenny.

Does Mr A.N.Muggins always
Does Mr A.N.Muggins always tell ya that the old songs are the best? Then he's up and rock 'n' rollin' with the rest?
I hope you had a merry old time.
