Certainties for a New Year

[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]
There is a God who ever lives,
and we have known the help he gives:
a Shelter, Rock who hears our prayer –
we can pray, must pray everywhere.
He knows our longings to be where
He is – He's with us now, then there
in heaven, to ever sing His praise:
we’ve vowed to serve Him all our days.
His Spirit fills our hearts with joy –
deep, sure whatever comes our way;
in Christ we draw from wells of peace
and joy that will not, cannot cease.
Though troubled, hurt, awhile in pain,
the joy in Him will still remain,
and knows that one day soon will come
the fullness of this joy begun.

Lovely words Rhiannon!
Lovely words Rhiannon! Very well written this is a lot of work. "Two men look through the same bars, one sees the mud, the other the stars". Can you now attend church again, as before Covid?
Have wonderful day! Nolan &

Attending church
Attending church and that would be great but it's out of the question. Times hard friends few tell me about it, it does feel alone you get used to it. No job either. So what's the difference? Keep up the good work Rhiannon I always find it encouraging. And I do have my friends on ABC tales. Thank heavens for each one.
As in the Bible, sunday school singing, “Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice!”
“His Spirit fills our hearts with joy” – “we can pray, must pray everywhere” but your last verse I like best. I think you're gifted.

I have limited internet access
I have limited internet access but thanks Rhiannon. However there is a variety of religious programs on the radio and of different Christian churches, you don't always agree but I think that is a good thing.
It's not that bad really! Tom

certain certainties
We did a poem of TS Elliot in high school, the phrase "certain certainties" got stuck in my mind. It is about workers class in London the poem was "Preludes" I think.
Rainy here overcast, we are having a lot of rain we're not complaining!
This is the day the Lord has made! Nolan :-)
