Thank you, Jenny. My job has kept me away! Always writing when I can but haven't written any poems for a while. I just felt sad, angry and happy in turn about the wall and wrote something quick. Hope you are well.

Very nicely done, Catherine. A pleasure to read. Chickadees are curious and delightful birds who like to flip and flop and investigate their surroundings. They enjoy black seed and some sort of protection against the larger birds who gobble up all the food. My wife and I have a cage with squares only for small birds and gives maximum protection. Covering this we simply cover it totally wih a see-through bag with a four square cut out for entrance. Hope this helps should any of these delights visit year round as they do here.
