Warm welcome

Middle of March,
sunshine and warmth:
sparkling celandines
daily open as the beams catch them, glitter,
shaded slopes of primroses,
soft and gentle,
and lanes bordered by
strident yellow trumpets
herald the coming spring

Down south...
Yes, down South and just moving into Autumn - loving the cooler weather 29deg days at last. We had so many 40 deg days over Summer - hottest for a while.

An atmosphere of excitement
An atmosphere of excitement and joy! And cherries to top it!
In Julius Ceasar he is warned by a soothsayer (something) "Beware the Ades of March" which when he was where he was actually murdered. Do you know what that is? Some Roman holiday?
Keep well and really enjoy the outdoors again! Tom

Beautiful lines for the season Rhiannon. I haven't seen any celandines yet but lots of aconites out here with their little collars and of course all the primroses and daffodils blowing their trumpets, 'heralding the coming spring'. Perfect.

Beautiful words Rhiannon. I love this.
We heralded our spring a while back but since that moment of heralding we've had a fortnight of snow. Ah well, we'll just have to herald it again when it's made it's vernal mind up.
