I love Lazlo Biro cuz I'm a wuss

But I could handle a stylus on papyrus

I would need to learn the technique from someone with experience first. 

Does the British Museum ever run ancient writing workshops?

I am sure that if I used a slower and more stylised form of script it would improve the quality of my work. If I needed to write slowly and carefully I would think long and hard as I formed every word at every stage of my inspiration.

When I get a bit of 'spare money' I shall buy myself a fountain pen and a bottle or two of bright ink. Writing inks used to be avaible in mauve and turquoise. I shall then try to write a good Italic script.

I had to read this a few times to get the sense out of it as the sounds are such fun! Lazlo Biro is the most brilliant name :0) And how you have the i/y sounds in the middle of each line from Biro and stylus is so clever. It is very, very satisfying to read

Just remembered

The Romans wrote with stylus on WAX tablets

The Egyptias wrote with feathered pen and ink made from cuttlefish secretions on Papyrus.

My notion of handling stylus on papyrus would have produced ahem 'a scratchy pig's ear.'

However the French call a Biro 'le stylo'
