Upheaval

Rainwater floods upon

itself - far too long

layered in its

cocoon of space

then flees from

a river-bed sanctuary

channel mishmash of

mud and stone

wind comes

aggressively &

ornery-

more flooding follows.

For days and nights

overwhelms

then suddenly pauses-

land slowly dries

sun shines mightily

flags flying-

summer brought heavy

showers & wet feet.
