Nessie

I was frightened,
I must confess,
the first time
I met Ness.
I was informed
by a tourist poster
that she was
a fierce monster.
If she showed
herself on the loch
I'd be certain
to get a shock.
I waited a long time
with bated breath
to see if she rose
from the depth.
She appeared
looking benign
and everything
seemed to be fine.
It transpires
that she knew
I only wanted
an interview.
But complained
that the press
had caused her
some distress.
“They always print
a photo of me
without any clothes
on page three”.

You;ve had some fun there, Luigi, Personally, I pronounce 'Loch' with the 'ch' sound as in Welsh as well as Scots prefernce I think, though 'lock' seems to be acceptable! Rhiannon

Must be my blind date
Must be my blind date, scary. The first and only. Save for the photo, the last and only? I had to read it again. Luigi, how sensitive one wonders how do you do it every time.

As entertaining as ever, Luigi. I also laughed out loud at the final stanza. Nicely done and keep well, my friend. Paul
