An Original Obsession

Undercurrents
ensure the power of waves
by scouring beneath
for anything
which may impede
Northumberland Strait’s drive
and bouncing crests
are banners of victory that
ventured from afar
within the goals of tidal
movement
creating roly-poly rolls
in a series of mighty tumbles
before rising
to a shallow pebbled-shore.
Crests as foamy eyes
from silhouettes of power
now drained of might
in a vast journey.

I love the idea of the tide
I love the idea of the tide being an obsession, and white wave crests being banners of a incoming force
" a series of mighty tumbles
before rising" this really has the momentum of waves, almost feel seasick reading :0) and "a vast journey" is brilliant, evoking the hugeness of the sea.
