This classic rock song by Pete Townshend of The Who could have been written for Vladimir Putin!
the loneliest man on earth,
the man without a conscience,
the biggest Dick Tator in Russia Today.
(I cannot possibly get close enough to him to check whether he has blue eyes, but for a long time he seemed to be Russia’s blue eyed boy leader)
This long time favourite song of mine was written and/ or recorded in 1971 and came out on the superb ‘Who’s Next’ album of that year – more than 50 years before Adolf Putin’s Invasion of Ukraine! I do hope the Russians won’t get fooled again after this! I certainly don’t think the Ukrainians will ever be fooled again after this!
(There is even a picture of a Wasteland (a Teenage Wasteland to be precise, and, as in many areas of Ukraine at the moment, sadly, no functioning toilets!) on the album cover (Reminiscent of parts of Ukraine some weeks after the start of Putinpot’s special operations!))
Behind Blue Eyes by The Who (1971), written by Pete Townshend (of The Who)
(Please Note : Alfred is considering doing a Rock Opera based on Putin’s Rise and (hopefully!) Fall, naturally using other people’s famous songs and performances, as Alfred knows full well that he could not write better songs than this one and probably than any of the other songs he may well use. He is well aware that he would have to gain permission from the artists, including first and foremost Pete Townshend, for the new use of their songs/ performances, which may not have been the original meanings intended. But he feels that in the interests of the propaganda war against Putin, this may possibly be acceptable.
The only problem would then be how to get recordings of it into Russia, given Putinpot’s current media stranglehold? After Putin’s (hopefully!) fall he is quite sure that there will come a time in Russia when free news/ ideas/ and media will once again be able to circulate openly there!

Hi David. I'm afraid quoting
Hi David. I'm afraid quoting large chunks of song lyrics as you have done here leaves us (ABCTales) open to a huge fine which we can't afford. (it happens quite often sadly!) Please remove everything except the title before the end of the day or we will have to unpublish it. Thanks

I read this the other day but
I read this the other day but didn't want to comment until the song lyric issue had been sorted. I am sure a Rock Opera pulled together by Alfred Muggins would be a huge success. Let me know the details so I can buy tickets. Paul :)
