Evolution not Revolution!

She tried to keep her thoughts secret,

To be the Diplomatic Queen,

Which she always was!

But anecdotes keep slipping out,

Of a sense of humour,

Of attachments to nature,

And to reality!

In the middle of a serious crisis,

The Cost of Living crisis.

Gas prices have gone inexplicably sky high!

Oh yes there’s a war going on, don’t you know!

In Ukraine.

We have a new Prime Minister – Liz Truss,

But her ‘trumpeting’ is suddenly suspended,

as the news of the Queen’s death explodes across the world!

Commonwealth Mother,

Diplomatic Queen,

Super Traveller!

She shook hands with Presidents, Prime Ministers, Dictators,

And their wives (and occasionally husbands)!
