Lullaby rain:
gentle rhythm
pattering droplets’ refrain
softly strafing the thirsty earth
soaking, hydrating
wetting the wilting
all that was waiting
to drink their fill
from the fall
sweeping past
weeping down
at last.

Love this poem about the rain Rhiannon. Like the idea of it being like a lullaby too. Each lines flow perfectly into the next.
Jenny.

Hi,
I think there's something comforting about the sound of the rain. Your poem had that effect on me too.

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
What a lovely tribute to the much needed rain. As usual so few words give such an impression.
