Light-Cycle

December weak light,
January, bleak light,
spring light increasing:
warm, life-awakening –
greenery growing;
May light glowing;
summer sunlight hot,
cooled by shading trees,
cloud and breeze;
autumn light mellowing;
November light dimming
daylight hours slimming,
not quite gone:
never none –
our sun-lamp star
withdraws, approaches slightly, cyclically,
but never too far,
deep-freezing,
never too near,
frizzling.

Hope the New Year brings you all you hope for.

After spending what felt like
After spending what felt like three hours drying the dogs today, I'm looking forward to "sunlight hot".
Enjoyed this. Had a rhythm to it,
'Frizzling' is a great word.

You also reminded me of how much I look forward to the beauty of spring. Nothing ever seems quite so bad when the sun's shining!
Happy New Year Rhiannon - I hope you have a wonderful 2023
