The Turkish Turtles of Turtle Beach by A.N.Muggins

(Based on events during the Mudbath excursion near Marmaris in Turkey of May 2022)

The Turkish Turtles of Turtle Beach,

in the Turquoise water,

watching the tourists come and go of all nationalities.

Peace on Earth, goodwill to all men (except Plutin),

we mix and come together in this melting pot of Turtle Beach.

There might be Russians here,

Germans, Iranians, fellow tourists of every European nation

(Alfred cannot imagine there are many Ukrainians here (or Syrians!).

Sadly they are busy and their holidays are cancelled,

sometimes permanently, thanks to Potentate Putin,

who has so many lives in his uncaring hands.

Don’t you know that life is precious?

Don’t you know that we all deserve self determination and preservation?
