meltwater

meltwater
today, the wall
talks in water,
a patois
of wet light
snow moss
and wizened lavender
the hands that made this wall,
long since earth
desire, whispers
and wishing, buckled
beneath soundless weight
a muffled wind,
vexes the stems
that whiskery, nudge
through the white
shortly, night will spill
the moon, lit
by acres of snow
a flat sky,
pressing the snow
like a letter sealed in hope

I liked this poem, the wall
I liked this poem, the wall talking in water is just one apt metaphor for melting snow. And the imagery is strong - the hands that mad ethe wall now long sinc earth. A worthy pick of the day.
