Turmoil

Clouds gather within

a windy channel

its speed measured

by a landscape’s design

storm ascending

to an uncertain plan

hurled from the Western

Canada Rockies

to the very sameness

of flat prairies

to unrestrained might

in Ontario

then above Montreal to

the East coast

where the citizens are

of pioneer stock

sailors with true grit

and knowledge

of weather conditions-

bring on the turmoil.
