"A Little Rhyme"
By Penny4athought
- 1825 reads
Fog rolls in on ocean shores
Casting shadows on gossamer doors
Imagination writes the tale
On a ghost ship we can sail
To ancient lands in our backyard
On waterways or boulevards
Days of sunshine, nights of stars
Lightning bugs caught in jars
Set free to sparkle in the trees
With magic whispers on the breeze
Nestled deep in dreamland’s cotton
Fairyland is not forgotten
Till morning birds trill the daybreak
And vestiges of slumber
fade to awake
