Wonky wants become wise

[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]
I’ve freedom to do what I want,
empowered now to do what I would –
for as I now know, love the Lord,
I value what brings me but good.
I see how things harm that before
I wanted – much bitterness bring;
but now I delight in God’s law,
free to serve, for He bore all my sin.
My wants were all wonky and wrong,
but now they are wise, I perceive
true wisdom, and love is my song –
I’m sad when your Spirit I grieve.
Tune: 88 88 eg Celeste, tune of ‘How good is the God we adore’

wonky
Does the word "wonky" have meaning? Wobbly, made up? Really the title I find very Odd. What does it mean? Sorry to say that myself seems still very the same, but the idea of wanting sincerely to please God and actually doing it I find must be very much the same really.
Well thus to want to please God seems the same as pleasing him and to know that, that knowledge comes from your heart, prayer and the Bible and communion with other believers, it would start with sincere and fearless honesty, not that it means one must go and tell everyone your secrets and personal things.
This hymn of yours is lovely and really has a clear meaning and message.
Keep well! Nolan &

That is nothing but the grace of God working out in your life.
I, too, can testify to these lines. I see how things harm that before I wanted.- much bitterness it brings. But now I delight in God's law, free to serve, He bore all my sins. Amen! Christ is now my trusted friend.
