Guilt washed away

[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]
One of those thieves crucified
acknowledged his guilt and his shame.
He’d even reviled, mocking Jesus,
but repented, now honoured Christ’s name,
and asked for forgiveness,
a home in Christ’s heaven
– forgiveness and Life were given.
He’d tasted of those seven sins
that some think all other sins’ source
– for pride, lust and greed lurked within
with wrath, sloth and envy of course –
did they lead him to steal
and Jesus insult?:
he turned just in time, washed from guilt.
see Matthew’ s gospel chapter 27: verse 44 and Luke’s gospel chapter 23, verses 39-43
[IP: as many of the seven deadly sins as you can into a poem or a piece of prose
– the thief asked help, those not about to die will need Jesus’ help to live and have more victory over any sins and in embracing any virtues in life]

disobedience
Oh I see, it is an IP. I've always thought of sin in a very simple way, in general it is being disobedient to God but we do need more concrete concepts.
Good effort a very respectable poem. I like the structure but I've nothing to add.
Jacques is in bed with a terrible flu he will be Ok. There were very unexpected results for the election perhaps it could go better now. It's raining we never had rain in the winter as a child and when at school, these days every winter in the middle of winter it rains, not sleet yet now, but it's very cold.
Yesterday I gave a vagrant a blanket I feel good about it. We always keep our leftovers for them and stuff we don't need anymore.
Keep well Rhiannon! Have a great week! Nolan &
