Malta Part 2
Have been here at wonderful Malta over a week now, a lot has happened in the time, all good. For those that came to my wedding, in conversation if I were to say to them, “It was as hot as my wedding day,” They will understand, for that day was declared, “The hottest day of the year, so far." This is my first time to Malta, I didn't know what to expect, but I expected, peace, tranquillity and heat. Malta didn’t disappoint. I also expected the people there to be lovely. They, and all the other holiday makers didn't disappoint either. What a lovely place, it all feels like a wonderful dream. Meghan said, “I don’t want to go home.”
The hotel is amazing, they cater for everyone, the very young, the elderly, the disabled, those with different price ranges and diets. Everyone has a wristband put on them when they book in. Ours show that we are all inclusive, that has taken some getting used to, that everything is free, in unlimited amount. There are many different type of restaurants here in the hotel, and other places to eat and drink, that are not restaurants, we just show our wristbands, and we can have anything we want. For me, it’s the drinks at the many bars around the hotel and poolside, alcohol or non alcoholic, that I love. I only have Fanta.
The main restaurant is buffet style, so we just help ourselves to anything from the vast selection, for every taste from every country. Even in the main restaurant, along with the Fanta Coke, hot chocolate vast selection of coffees, on tap is also wine and beer! So people can have wine and beer (not sure if it is lager as I don't know the difference) for breakfast. The main restaurant is open 4 times a day, 7 days a week! The chefs behind the counter at their various many stations we see them cooking the food, and as soon as it is cooked they transfer the food into the large serving pans for us to then help ourselves. The hardworking staff are all amazing. All nationalities. We have all heard of a chambermaid, now it’s a lovely man who cleans our room, not just him, as the hotel is far too big for just one person. Once our room wasn't cleaned, so I went to reception to ask for some clean towels, we had been out for the day. The lovely lady at reception said to me, “If your sign is out, for your room to be cleaned, it will be done before 4pm,” I replied, “OK,” And went back to the pool, and sure enough, when we went back to our room, the bed was beautifully made, more pots of milk given to us, soft white hand and bath size towels all folded neatly in the bathroom. It gives me a lovely feeling. For me, one of the best feature of the hotel is the free drinking water for us to fill up our large or small water bottles. How novel is that! It also encourages, healthy drinking. Another great idea that this amazing hotel does is, the fixed bottle in the shower and at the washbasin, so they cannot be stolen, both contain shampoo and body wash. So although I didn't bring any liquid shampoos, I was still able to wash my hair and use the body wash too! Generis. When I go back home to England I will give this hotel a 10 out of 10 rating and I will name two of their Staff who are a credit to the hotel. There hasn't been any bad Staff.
