Pareidolia

Look into the flames, and what do you see?
Horses and dragons flash in and flee,
faces and castles seem to appear
for an instant, then disappear?
Look at the clouds floating by –
a pig? or a dinosaur up in the sky,
a bird and a mountain towering high
a train with billowing smoke?
– we joke, and let imagination fly!
With glasses off, and not fully light
I look at the paintings with unfocussed sight –
instead of the bird with its beak wide in song
it looks like a storm with a boat flung along
in the ocean, windswept,
colourful whirls – fantasy unfurls!

I love this I P poem Rhiannon
I love this I P poem Rhiannon, especially the second stanza. Clouds always catch my eye. I love how they can change shape as they move across the sky. Imaginative and a joy to read.

This is lovely, Rhiannon. I
This is lovely, Rhiannon. I love looking at the clouds and seeing landscapes and castles and all sorts of animals. Unfortunately my desk is by the window so it's a real distraction when I'm meant to be working!

I loved this, Rhiannon! All the way through from your brilliant flickery first two lines
"Look into the flames, and what do you see?
Horses and dragons flash in and flee"
All the wonderful variety of shapes! And the three different situations for seeing pictures in other things, Really enjoyed

There's a lovely rhythm to this, the words bounced along inside my head.
So many images contained and imagined. A lovely creative piece is this, Rhiannon.
