Delicious harvest

A bramble apple tree –
laden, swollen fruit –
picked and generously shared –
a goodly portion received
(cut out a few worm-holes,
but otherwise beautifully healthy!);
hedges nearby with abundant patches
of blackberries, though small
(shielded by soft deceptive nettles,
leg-entangling branches reach out,
and unevenness underfoot
hidden beneath its grassy jungle):
– delicious blackberry and apple crumble
for Sunday lunch!

"..delicious blackberry and apple crumble

From tree to plate - a journey documented so well and so elegantly. My mouth was watering by the end and those photos are yummy.
