They breathe, they have periods, they have babies, they have pain, they have eye tests, visit the dentists, they grow, from tiny to tall. 

They have thoughts, they have fantastic ideas, they have soloutions, they have creativity, they have brains.

They have hope, real fears, they care, they have 'joys'? Laughter?

They have been INVISIBLE for years.

Every single thing is Controlled, from within, and no one from outside cares. 

The new LAW now orders them ALL to be SILENT. sad

It is deep for those involved. This is about one country in the world. They have made a new law and the Women now are not allowed to be heard, they have to be silent.

I am glad you have marked this sad day for Afghanistan and for civilisation, and for so called religion! It certainly deserves a mention, a lot more than just a mention. How terrible this is! What a step backwards, a long way backwards! I didn't realise you were talking about Afghanistan at first, but now it makes full sense. It does make us wonder, once again, did both Trump and Biden, both very much implicated in this, do the wrong thing by throwing in the towel, or did it have to be because of the extreme wave of killings perpetrated by Taliban? Was peace worth this price?

Hi I deliberately didn't mention the country incase it was not allowed. For years the women there has been in my thoughts and prayers. When I think I am having a bad day, I think of them and realize I am more than OK. Sometimes for one second I try to put myself into their shoes, and shudder. Personally if I lived there, I would do everything in my power to leave! 

Today at Church on Rememberance Sunday, in my 2 minutes silence I thought of the fallen, and all those affected by both Wars and the many other wars now in the world and in the past, and I thought of all those women, in their current battles in that country, with no help at all. Theirs is a nightmare situation, beyond a horror story.

I agree with every single word you have said.

I am grateful for the Golden Cherry which then highlights their hell. I have put the picture as pink, diamonds and heart, and hope one day, they will be allowed to wear pink, diamonds, hearts or whatever they want and that their voice will be heard soon without fear, for how can you live in 2024, unseen and without a voice?

I guess with the oppressive regime in Afghanistan and the anti-abortion lobby in the US scorching the earth it's exceptionally tough for women in parts of the world. The word 'freedom' has never had more relevance. Well said, Maxine.
