Sometimes, for fun,
I write something daft.
I grab pen and paper
and prepare a draft.
 
Sitting in a warm room,
avoiding the draught,
I wonder how I can
develop this craft.
 
Obviously, I'm aware
no one will publish
a creation that is
absolute rubbish.
 
Yet I scribble quickly,
racing against the clock,
for a simple reason:
to defeat writer's block.
