Whoosh! Whoosh!
Blown through the New Year Gate –
not too soon
not too late.
Bang! Bang!

new fresh date?
The days get longer,
we get older –
apprehensive of fate?
or prayerfully, trustingly
wait …

Nicely done, Rhiannon.

Very positive
Excellent poem Rhiannon! Very positive, but somehow it feels we do not have so much to celebrate for. Let us hope then and "trustingly wait".
See you in the New Year! Tom

You certainly summed up Swindon on New Years Eve Rhiannon. The wind really blew through our garden, but sadly we don't own a gate, but I liked your rendition of the atmosphere, great poem.
Happy New Year to you and yours.
Jenny.
