Alfred should be reading or studying the details of Trump’s inauguration speech! But he had missed much of it.

    Apparently America is going to become great again. All it takes apparently is to recognize, once again that there are only two sexes. Transexuals don’t apparently exist, so that Great Fact will apparently put America back on the right track! It all seemed just a little bit too petty to Alfred’s honed political ear. Surely the vast majority of voters were unaffected by such classifications and issues anyway, so why should they care either way. Surely that was not the set of issues which could cause the Great American civilization to decline and crumble. It all seemed so petty.

    Surely it would be mass homelessness, inability to afford your healthcare cover, or be granted payment of your medical bills, or the loss of your employment which would be the more essential issues, or perhaps the final showdown with the new economic powerhouse China and its new dependent Russia, which would be rather more crucial to the average American voter.

    America was also going to become religious and godfearing once again, despite having been noted for having a secular constitution and supposedly standing for religious freedom in all of its earlier years, and despite being led by a man (or was he a god?) who was decidedly shakey on the personal (and public?) moral questions. Would the sinner finally lead them all back to God?

    Despite promising to extricate America from all wars, he was also going to keep America strong, or make her strong again. Some neocon Republicans seemed to hope or trust that Trump would finish Putin now he was cracking under its military and manpower demands, or at least put him well back into his box, whereas many Maga less educated types  (?) seemed to believe that he really was going to stop wasting money on Ukraine and maybe even Israel, and return to good old isolationist policies. They should turn their backs upon NATO and Europe. Let them look out for themselves, and pay for it themselves. Meanwhile Trump would reinflate America’s economy, and take over Greenland and Canada (and Panama?). Some religious Christians and the Zionist lobby wanted to let Israel takeover all of the Holy Land to fulfil biblical quotations, and finish smashing Iran in the process. Then the power of Islam would be well and truly on the run, and the money men really could take everything over.

    Well which is it going to be Trumpy? You can’t satisfy all your followers, which policies are you actually going to carry out, or were they all false promises?
