The opera La Traviata
has a convoluted plot.
Full of intense passion,
a comedy it's not.

We have been told
without compunction
the heroine is affected 
by tubercular consumption.

In the final act
Violetta does die
and we, the audience,
know the reason why.

We know she suffered
from pulmonary TB,
but there is one thing
that bothers me.

A well-endowed soprano
is undoubtedly bound to fail
in portraying a woman
who's obviously frail

Thank you, Claudine, for your comment and cherries.
Many opera singers appear thicker than the average person because of their huge chests. Some singers are born with above-average breasts, which helps them get more air into their lungs than normal people could.
Maria Callas struggled with her weight. She lost 80 lbs to change from a fat. awkward opera singer to a slender singing actress.

Very funny! That's what I think of opera too but your logic in "above-average breasts", which helps them get more air into their lungs" I don't really understand I mean one (two?) is one the outside the other the inside, I would think it should be the other way round, dolly gasping for air all the time for her squicky little voice.

Quite so but I've been wondering if the problem isn't perhaps on my side. My security is not up to scratch could be practical jokers. Not Abc's style at all I will talk to Claudine.

Stll raining, weeks and weeks months of it it rains every day just bit sunshine inbetween. Very unusual around here. maybe we were in arrears. Well sorry and have a good day!
