Freeview

A technical question, I'm afraid.

Can you tape Freeview programmes on your video recorder by connecting the Freeview box to the video recorder by means of a cable - and then tuning into the required programme and pressing record?

Or do you need a special Freeview video recorder to do this?

To put it another way, does anyone have any tips on how I can tape a programme on one of the Freeview channels, using my existing video recorder? Any advice would be gratefully received.
