Joan Didion

Even as a hip child of the sixties I didn't know about the writing of Joan Didion. What an error. I've just read her 'Slouching Towards Bethlehem' and I thought it was incredible. sharp, accurate, thoughtful, still very relevant (although the articles were all written in the late 60s).

She's apparently written some novels as well - I shall be seeking them out (through the Amazon link on ABC of course!)

Could there be a more prominent link to Amazon? I could only find it through the shop @ ... link, which is very polite little link that I keep overlooking.

what you want is a link to the specific book/author being discussed, a lot of the books I buy are recommended in this forum but I keep forgetting to use the button.

I read Slouching many years ago. It is a bit of a time warp nowadays, but as you say, still highly relevant.
