It's all very friendly and informal. Out of vague interest, I'm still waiting for someone to have a go reading when blind-drunk but wouldn't advise this ...

teribly nervous, but remembered
take deep breaths before going up,
forget us all, just portry saying your
great poems. Like I mentioned to MistakenMagic.
Everybody is in all walks of life, show people,
actors, actressess singers, poetry, where any public.
Singing, after wish done it better always.
That song "I'll say a little prayer" for you, and me works. Remember I could do nothing once.
Looking foreward seeing you to-morrow.
You will be fine. ok. Come and join us anyone can and does.
all the best love julie xx
Safe journey to all.
Good Luck Beeme :) I would love to go but cant go so just be proud of your self for even going firstly :) then although I would be the same in your shoes, just try to imagine firstly your just typing it on abctales and then just pick a person or spot in the room and think of a person or place that makes you smile and relaxed, i.e for me I love the water and a long warm with candles or writing my poems e.t.c then hopefully before you know it the reading will be over, but try to enjoy it with the nerves :)))
I hope you all enjoy it along with Beeme and I hope soon a reading comes nearer to the Midlands :))))

All the best

It was lovely to meet you and your husband - you were both very welcoming indeed and I will check out your poetry in the magazine.
There are a lot of very talented people on display that evening and I hope that Beeme will come back and read again in November - the more you do it the easier it gets!!
Keep Smiling
Keep Writing xxx
