Johnny's vision through narcotic headlamp eyes see; a dole queue
like a urine stream with drained bodies like wrung swimsuits,
therapist's comfort like Sunday evening, church like barnacle crust.
Cellophane city like a broken ariel, paintwork chipped like a crazy
mosaic. Silk sarong the chrysalis shell, hot tea a tongue caressed.
Weekend end like student days, beer garden lost in bubblegum haze - the
gnomes abandoned. Each tick-tock hour, each descant day, each baseline
year, the flow of language sucking sweetly on his metaphor mind.
Free from constraints, flexible like rubber, Johnny sees an Oxymoronic
district; flowers tied to a road rail. Life proclaiming death, like an
anonymous name. Familiarity like a sacred heart. Each Concrete
catachresis, each social ineptitude, his legs like rubber, Johnny
doesn't believe in this simile smile. An eighteen certificate in a
five-year-old's hand. His step's like a new train running late, his
mouth like vodka on a Monday morning, his pyramid head sports a haircut
like wings, cut from the Tuesday blues. Black Coffee solitude shields
his lonesome flame, he rises from the underworld like Orpheus in ashes,
his confusion segmented like Transactional Analysis.
