Impossible Love

I absorbed the heat from your body as we danced,
Arms tight and secure,
Eyes locked together searching your sole,
Hips, moving together in perfection.
We said so much without making a sound,
Absorbed by the beat, mirroring our hearts,
The sweet smelt of sweat, the dance floor was ours,
We knew nothing else.
You kissed my cheek, a nauseating nibble.
I clung onto your strong body.
Adreneline tempting, pushing us to continue
Amid mixed feelings of pleasure and pain.
Pressing for more, longing for everything,
Hating myself for falling further.
Wanting to become totally involved in your all,
Willing you to wrap me in your body.
Crying over your shoulder.
For that moment in time I had what I had dreamed.
Fighting the flames, but awaked in the heat,
Whilst remembering the thing that I was burning.
Wishing I could turn off.
Cooling down just makes it harder,
wanting, wishing, willing.
Your hand on my knee,
that electricity as I stroke your arm.
We both know this has to finish? but nothing ever started.
As you leave you call me your diamond
and my eyes are sparkling, like dew.
Some things can never be,
But some things will never end, my love.
