Rain

Outside the window, the rain
It pours in sheets of diamond and dew
Each precious bead slips silently
And smoothly along waxy leaves
The gentle beat of the droplets
On lilies fill the room with an
Omniscient thud-thud
The charcoal sky glares down
Upon euphoric flowers as the saplings
Shaded by their forefathers dance
In the summer breeze. The
Colours merge as the enchanted
Liquid fills the soil, bringing life
And vitality to all it touches.
As with every time it rains
A vibrant rainbow slices the sky
A dash; a jolt of dignified colour
The excitement and passion of all time.
The soothing rain falls upon me
And cools the essence of my being
So pure a feeling is not often spoken
So true a heart never uncovered
The lost love of ages resides in this;
The colour, the diamonds and dew
I let the rainfall open my eyes
And I see nothing at all but you.
